After a very impromptu week away for some much needed sunshine, catching up on work reading and business planning, I’m back in the UK and sharing another sweet newborn session with this gorgeous little guy.
I get a lot of requests from mums who would prefer the focus to be just on baby at a newborn session and whilst I totally get it, you’ve just given birth, total lack of sleep and may not be feeling that you’er looking your best, I do always try and get a few family and mum and baby images as I can assure you that even if you choose not to share, print or even order those images you at least have the choice.
I personally was a mum who didn’t /still doesn’t like being photographed, however looking back I wish I had been more present in my children’s newborn images, not for me but for them. I still don’t like having my picture taken ( social media and selfies are a nightmare) but I do try ( even when I cringe at the images after) because for my girls, no matter my or their age, they will have something to share with their families.
What was so lovely about this session is that those additional pictures that they weren’t so sure about are some of the images they selected. They have those sweet newborn images to treasure and natural pictures of just how they are.
And on another note, whilst I do have many mums to be book in early, with babies choosing to arrive when they are ready, I do have wriggle room in my dairy, so if a newborn session wasn’t so high on the list whilst you were expecting, but now your little bundle of joy has arrived, do drop me a line, last minute sessions are possible.
For now enjoy this sweet family.
