Here are the most commonly asked questions, if there is anything else you would like to ask that’s not covered here please drop me a line via the contact button.
Do you sell digital files?
Yes, all the collections include either all or a set number of digital image files are are supplied via digital download.
How long do you keep our images for?
Currently images are kept for a maximum of 3 months after the session date. If you have booked a session that includes the digital images from your session you will be sent a link to download these. At this time I do ask that you copy and back up your images as I cannot keep them indefinitely due to storage space. If you have opted to book a session only shoot you will be given access to a gallery to view your images after your session where you will then have 7 days to select images for prints or your chosen product.
What can I expect from a session?
All sessions are bespoke and currently available at your home to location of choice. I only take on a limited amount of session per week to ensure my clients receive my undivided attention both during the session and whilst editing. The session fee covers my time, travel ( within an hour of Surrey & London, for sessions further a field please email for more details), the time I spend processing your images and depending on the package booked, your digital images.
How long does the session last?
The standard session is up to an hour an a half, and through experience I have found this is more than enough time to create a good selection of images, but session lengths can vary, for example a newborn session is two – four hours. Shorter or mini sessions are also available. When working with families and younger children I do take their ages into account as they little ones run the show and I work to their pace.
My son / daughter is shy?
That’s not a problem, again I work to their pace and if they need a little time to warm up or get used to me, that’s perfectly normal. I usually ask them what they like to pull silly faces to get a smile etc.
How along until I received my products ?
That does depend on the product being ordered and any design element and sign off that’s required. All my products are sourced from fantastic suppliers and all books, albums etc are bespoke designed by myself, for more information please drop me a line with any particular product you are after.
What form of payment do you except?
The preferred method of payment is via bank transfer or via Paypal, but I do also accept cash. Payment plans are also available. Please contact me for details.
What do I wear?
I understand that co-ordinating the whole family can be daunting, upon booking I will email you a style guide with tips and suggestions that will point you in the right direction. If you are still unsure I am more than happy to help with any wardrobe choices on the day. We want you to be you.
Periodically I offer mini sessions. If you are not familiar with custom lifestyle photography this is a great way to dip your toes in the water. If you would like to be added to the mailing list please drop me a line via the contact button to be notified of these special offer’s.
I don’t like having my photo taken/ I am worried I’m not very photogenic.
This is can completely sympathise with, I would rather not be in front of the lens myself. It’s normal to feel a little self conscious and wonder if your looking/holding yourself correctly, but rest assured I will gently guide you to the best poses, positions and direct you were to look if required, talking to you during the shoot also makes you focus on the sound of my voice rather than the lens. I hope to make the session fun for you all so you can relax into it and we get lots of interaction, natural connections and smiles.
Do you work weekends?
Yes I do and this is reflected in the session fee. I only work a limited number of weekends per month including Sunday’s so please do book early so that I can accommodate you.
If I want additional products do I have to decide at the time of booking?
No, whilst I offer several packages that include products, digital files and the session fee & this does offer a saving rather than being purchased individually, there is no hard sell. Should you decide you would like the session and the digital files that’s fine. If you decide that you would like a favourite image framed or to create a coffee table book or album that tells the story of your session that’s fine too. All products are bespoke and created and designed for each client.
As a location photographer I offer the convenience of shooting your little one in your home. I think this is especially important when you have just had a new arrival to the family. The sessions are designed to be relaxed and a chance to enjoy capturing those first early days with your little one.
I offer two types of newborn session, newborn lifestyle and the newborn session for babies under 14 days.
The newborn lifestyle session is around 2 hours and idea for babies 2-8 weeks and is more focused on capturing you as a family within your own environment.
Our most popular session – Lifestyle & Posed
The newborn session for babies under 14 days encompasses the above, plus lightly posed shots. I bring my trusty beanbag, a few back drops, wraps etc and I work around baby creating those sweet curled images, as well as all the family images. These sessions are around 2-4 hours. This allows plenty of time for soothing, feeds etc.
With all newborn sessions, newborn safety is a priority and once you have booked you will be sent further details on how to prepare for your session and what tp expect on the day. I very much work at your babies pace and they lead the show. Not all babies like all positions, this applies to the more posed elements of the session.
When should I book?
The majority of my clients do book around the 20 week stage, however as I pencil in due dates in my dairy I do allow for wriggle room as babies tend to arrive when they want, so there is always a chance I can fit you in. Please also be aware that I only book in one newborn session per day.
Whilst I love to blog your beautiful images and use a select few on my website etc. I am aware that for whatever reason you may not wish to share your images with the world. I have a number of V.I.P. clients who have requested this and it’s not a problem, please just let me know at the time of booking.
How do I book ?
Head over to the sessions page & fill in the online booking form, I’ll then confirm your date and time and contact you to arrange payment.
You can arrange payment via bank transfer or for credit cards payments via Paypal.
